Great Stay and Great Food

Flåm Marina Hotel is a beautiful quiet hotel and restaurant. The reception area is very welcoming and organized. It is about a 10 minute mostly level walk from the train and ferry stations. Our room on the upper level was very clean and well appointed. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking over the water. The bed was comfortable and the area quiet. Per the custom in Europe, no washcloths were provided. It took awhile for the water in the shower to get hot but it finally did. We ate lunch outside to enjoy the sun and made a reservation for dinner which was delicious and served by an efficient and very pleasant young lady, Donna. The restaurant has delicious food in a gourmet category. The beet salad with pumpkin had nasturtium blooms and the Cod dish was very good and artistically presented. We really liked the quiet unpretentious casual atmosphere.

Stunning view; comfortable room; tasty food

We spent one night in the Flam Marina Hotel and really enjoyed it. Great location, conveniently located but not in the thick of the tourist center. The room was clean and comfortable with an unbelievable view of the fjord. We came back for lunch after a visit to the nearby UNESCO historic farm cluster. The food was very very good. Highly recommend

Stunning views lovely and calm and very good food

This was our favourite stay during our norway trip. The views are stunning, it’s a great central location just a few mins easy stroll from the train station with all local amenities within a few mins walk. Good breakfast and the evening meal we had was very good and excellent value by Norwegian standards.
It’s really a restaurant with rooms rather than a hotel as such, so no room service etc, but as long as you’re ok with that I highly recommend this place. We were there for 2 nights and would have booked longer here if doing this again.

Best place to stay in Flåm

Our room was next to the restaurant with superb views down the fjord. The staff could not have been more helpful.
The room was clean and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities.
What made the stay apart from the setting was the food. The cod and pork was exceptionally. Breakfast was varied with great crusty bread.

The view is very beautiful.

We had a ground floor room next to the restaurant. It had everything we needed, no kitchen, but we loved it – the accommodation was clean and comfortable. Breakfast, while not extensive, was complete and delicious. The view from the room was also very nice.
