Neglected, creepy property.

We almost stayed here, but left when we saw the room. It had an unpleasant oder and some flies. But more than that, the overall upkeep of the property was neglectful, shoddy, and haphazard. Our overall impression was that it was just creepy.
We asked Expedia and the Management to give us a refund, as we had not occupied the room yet, but both said the other was responsible. We have lost the money, but just could not stay there.

Maybe the hotel is undergoing updates, I'm not sure... at least on the outside of the building. We were woken by loud hammering, power tools, workers and what sounded like elephants in the room above us. The bed frame made a loud noise every time we sat on it so that was fun to sleep to. There was missing plaster/sheet rock in the bathroom and sink areas. Caulking looked moldy so we didn't shower. The power recliner didn't recline. The room itself was stuffy but at least it didn't smell of cigarettes. We've stayed there before but in the other part of the hotel...I hope they continue to make improvements. Breakfast was lack luster and they didn't want it taken back to the room for whatever reason. Decent price but will rethink booking there again.

None of the outlets worked so could charge devices. Plugs over sink so old, your plug would fall out. Can tell in process of renovations.

This is an older motel they are actively renovating to make it a hotel with inside doors. Many of the people staying there were bikers on the way to Sturgis rally. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was across the parking lot from a restaurant that we ate at for 2 meals and was nice.

We had clean sheets and the room did not smell however it is run down and it looks like mold in the bathroom. The staff with check in was very nice and helpful. We looked at the breakfast but didnt eat there. I probably will choose a different place go stay next time.
