Fabulous hotell
Stayed for 7 days with my teenage son. Despite my horrible cold, the stay was tremendous! We had a twin room with club access. The club lounge was lovely, nice staff and snacks and drinks. Happy hour provided the best sortiment, though. We loved the room, spacious, and also with a balcony (which we didn’t know before we arrived). Perfect AC, large great tv, nice bathroom, spacious comfortable beds, black curtains, 24/7 gym, complimentary wine, sweets and water on arrival (such a wonderful gesture), fridge, safe, excellent room service, nice breakfast, great roof top bar (just book beforehand). The spa was great, especially the staff. It is not so big, so it doesn’t take many people there to feel crowded, but we enjoyed it. The hotel is located very central for cultural activities, and only 10-15 min walk from parks and shopping. This must also be one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever been to, and the cleaning staff was so nice! One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in, much due to the warm and welcoming staff-:)

Excellent 4 Night Stay
4 night stay in June 2026
Room 251: upgraded to a corner suite. Main room with half bathroom included: sofa, coffee table, large flat screen TV, desk, chair, mini-frig, safe, coffee maker, teapot. Large windows that could be opened for fresh air. Bedroom: king size bed, small table and chair, 2 nightstands, large flatscreen TV. Bathroom: 2 sink vanity, rain shower, and separate soaking tub. AC worked great in both areas of the room.
Ekaterina Stoyanova guest services had sent an email to me prior to my trip. She and the rest of the reception staff were excellent and went above and beyond for me. I realized after leaving the US that I had forgotten my drivers license, which is required for car rental. I was able to have my daughter FedEx it to the Hyatt Regency Sofia. I was emailing with Ekaterina during that time and she made sure that all the staff knew the package would be coming. They also helped me pivot and switch things around on my trip too. I had originally planned to drive to the Rila Lakes and Monastery. They found a group tour, which turned out to be a lot more fun than hiking alone. It was a lot of fun and definitely something I would recommend.
Mezzanine level: Spa facilities and indoor hydro therapy pools and multiple saunas, fitness center, and club lounge.
Lounge was big and had an outdoor covered terrace too. They have drinks and some snacks during the day. 5-7pm they serve wine/beer and appetizers.
Restaurant, coffee shop, and cigar shop at lobby level.
During my stay I tried room service, dinner in the restaurant, and breakfast each morning. The food and service were excellent. The breakfast buffet had everything and you could order à la carte items from the menu too. Truly enjoyed chatting with both of the hostesses at breakfast in the restaurant. Kicking myself for not getting their names. One grew up in Rousse Bulgaria.
Location of the hotel is literally 3 blocks from the cathedral- walking distance to all the tourist sites.
Parking: secured underground self-parking. Not sure what the cost was per night as it was waived because I stayed on an award and I’m a globalist.
I would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Elegant and comfortable hotel
Hotel located very close to Sofia Cathedral. The rooms are very spacious and have a very elegant decor. We stayed in a room with a terrace and views of the back garden of the hotel. The hotel has a very complete spa and fitness center which are free of charge for hotel guests. It is a highly recommended hotel.

It could ve better
Good food and breakfast im the Scene restaurant but not satisfactory housekeeping in the room. Team in the restaurant was superb. Team in the rooftop was not very friendly.

Best Sofia Hotel
My family and I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Sofia for 17 days in July 2026. We had an amazing stay. The staff is incredible!!!! Globalist benefits are the best and the club lounge is a lovely space. Also, the breakfast is one of the best I've ever had at a Hyatt Regency. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Sofia.
