This is the perfect choice when in Stavanger
The hotel is ideally situated, and I must say that the reception staff are absolutely fantastic, providing a warm and welcoming experience from the moment you arrive.
The only point to be aware of is that some of the odd-numbered rooms on the third floor are level with the road outside. As a result, you may experience some traffic noise and occasional disturbance from people passing by after special events. When I mentioned this to reception, they were extremely helpful and promptly moved me to Room 612, which overlooks the lake and was much quieter.
The rooms are very spacious, and having stayed in four different hotels during my regular visits to Stavanger, I can confidently say that this hotel ranks number one for friendliness, cleanliness, room size, and the facilities on offer.
While hotels such as the Royal Scandic may offer additional facilities like a swimming pool and sauna, the overall standard of service, comfort, and atmosphere simply does not compare to this hotel.
The restaurant is also of a very high standard. The staff are outstanding, the ambience is excellent, and the breakfast offers a wide selection, including gluten-free options.
As a regular visitor to Stavanger, this is now my hotel of choice. I would particularly like to pass on my sincere thanks to the reception team, who were absolutely outstanding throughout my stay and are a real credit to the hotel.

Comfy stay in a key location
Key location between the city center and the bus/train station
Rooms are small but comfy and clean
Breakfast is ok with a wide range of food (savory, sweet and dairy free). We appreciated the extended breakfast time!
Hotel staff (from reception to cleaning ladies and kitchen staff) is really kind and welcoming.

Great breakfast, very average room
We are evacuated at 0415 due to a fire alarm. I’m all for safety but no one provided any explanation.
The room although functional was very basic and extremely expensive for the price.

Shadows and lights
Hotel in a beautiful central location in the splendid city of Stavanger. We were assigned the junior suite, very nice, comfortable beds and soft duvets, large bathroom, excellent breakfast, but 2 huge problems, both reported to the reception: first of all, it is impossible to keep the curtains open, because the room overlooks a fairly busy street, especially due to the presence of a famous restaurant, and, despite being on the second floor, on that side of the building it is a ground floor. So you are practically in the middle of the street! But the worst thing is the freezing cold in the room and in the bathroom, which is not adjustable in the slightest...there are a fixed 20 degrees, the air comes out of grilles placed high up and the only solution that was proposed to us was to solve it with a heater...in the end we had as many as 2. We are not particularly sensitive to the cold, but the outside temperature, around 18/21 degrees, does not need such internal air conditioning!
The hotel also has an outdoor space to have a beer or chat. Super breakfast, there is really everything.
