Clarion Post Hotel

Really lovely hotel. Friendly, helpful staff especially Amir and Mattias. Beautiful serene spa. Trendy outdoor, rooftop pool. Amazing breakfast.

Dusty Sauna Dungeon - Never Again

2 stars for the aesthetics and breakfast, it was also well located. Then it goes downhill…a precipitous one.
The room was stifling hot, even with the AC kept on and black curtains drawn all day, as instructed. Made the room feel like a sauna dungeon. When we asked for an additional fan or room that wasn’t facing the sun all day, the response was, “What do you expect, it’s Sweden and we can’t handle hot weather.” Uh, yeah no. None of the people we met at Gothia Cup had issues with their AC.
Our room’s floor looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. Look at the photos.
To make matters worse, we kept the ‘do not disturb’ sign on until after breakfast…which meant they skipped our room for cleaning at the start. And despite being out all day, since our room was so hot…our room was never cleaned. Not once. We would have called down or stopped by the front desk to ask, but after the response we got about the hot room, we decided not to bother.
We did ultimately get a partially broken fan, but we will NOT be staying here again.

The location is great. Next to the central station for train, busses and flybus to the airport. Staffs are super helpful and friendly. Clean and well maintained. The only thing needs to be improved is the mattress. it is sinking in the middle in my room.

Best location, amazing stay

The location is very convenient near main town square, train access and beside the canal. Couldn’t be more perfect. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Best value for the money. The atmosphere in the bar near lobby is next level. Great gym facility. Enjoyed the stay

Be mindful if you book a room without a view you won’t get a view. It’s a square shaped hotel the inner rooms face each other. Not a criticism just helpful for people when booking rooms here.
The room was clean and bathroom spotless.
The bed throw and seat cushions were a bit tired and dirty as was the corridor carpet with various spill marks etc.
WiFi was also slow.
Gives the impression of a high class hotel in reception but a glorified conference centre is the reality.
