Lovely family run riad in the heart of the Medina
The riad is very small and personal. All the staff are extremely friendly and were always on hand to answer questions or support any requests. For us the location was perfect as it was right near the blue gate, well placed for a lot of restaurants, the closest end of the Medina for the train station, at the top end of the hill on which the Medina is situated and close to Hotel Batha which sold the cheapest beer!!
The riad is immaculately clean with beautiful authentic decor. There is an air condioning unit in each room which heated our room perfectly. Hot water was available throughout our stay.
Breakfast was excellent. Piping hot coffee and hot milk plus freshly squeezed orange juice. Every morning we were served a banquet of freshly cooked breads and local products.
We ate in the hotel one evening for 10 euros per person for three courses. We were offered our own choice for the mealtime. The meal was freshly cooked and enjoyed by all.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this little authentic oasis of calm and beauty; perfectly placed to enjoy the hustle and bustle and buzz of the travellers delight of the Medina of Fes.

Wonderful and welcoming
Wafae, who was there during day shift, was a lovely young woman, and so helpful in any way you could wish for.
She told us about the history of her city and county, advised us on how to find the places we wanted to see - told us about things and places we didn't know we wanted to see ...and provided the information we needed on how to get transport on local buses, if the tourist ones were sold out. We had lovely conversations about culture, history and traditions with her - she's a star ☀️

INCREDIBLE FIND
The food is amazing! Tagine was among the best I've had anywhere in Morocco. It was, literally, made by mom.
Breakfast is on the rooftop. Chilly in December but not a concern with the fantastic coffee and hospitality.
There are narrow steep stairs, by American standard, so be prepared to tote your belongings up.
I would not hesitate to suggest this as a place to stay in Fes.

Great location and hospitality
You are within walking distance to amazing restaurants and shops within the old medina.
The breakfast is delicious ( and BIG!!), we were unable to finish our breakfast both morning, they serve a lot of delicious food!
Thank you for such an amazing stay in Fes.
