Home away from home
Sofia B&B is a really beautiful house, both inside and out, in a quiet and peaceful area. The décor and ambience were amazing! It is only about 10-15 minutes drive from Krakow centre (so maybe not very convenient if you do not have a car, although I think it is on a bus route) and very close to the airport. There is free parking for several cars on the drive. It has a big garden which is a lovely place to sit out and relax with a drink in the evening after a long day sightseeing. The hostess was fantastic, a really lovely lady who welcomed us like family with coffee and homemade cakes. She didn’t speak much English but we managed to understand each other fairly well. The daughter came one day who could speak excellent English. We only had breakfast one day but it was very good value with a huge selection of cheese, meat, bread, salad, fruit etc and freshly made scrambled egg. They also said we could make sandwiches etc and take them with us for the day which was a really nice gesture. Our room was spacious and very clean with plenty of storage and the double bed was comfortable. The bathroom was nicely decorated and clean; it had a big shower with plenty of high pressure hot water. Our room was one of three guest rooms in a separate part of the house with its own entrance, so you didn’t feel like you were disturbing the hosts by going out early or coming back late. There was a small kitchenette shared between the three rooms with fridge, microwave, kettle, hob, sink and a selection of crockery, utensils and pans - nothing fancy but perfect for a few days stay. The hostess did offer us to use her kitchen if we wanted but the kitchenette was good enough for us! Our only complaint was the wifi as we couldn’t get any signal in our room. This is a big problem for me as I often need to work when we are away and cannot do this without wifi to my laptop. We also wanted to plan routes and activities each evening. As we were there for 4 nights with no wifi it meant we used up all the data on our phones and got extra charges. The owners were very apologetic and offered us to go through to the living room in the main house so we could get wifi - on the night we were back early we did this which was fine, but the other nights it was too late to go through as the door was already locked. However this may not be a big problem for most people. This would not stop us returning but next time we would ask for a room in the main house to be sure of getting a wifi signal.

Very good service and experience
Very nice location with garden in a quiet neighborhood. Owner was very polite and tried to help at any step. Clean rooms. Free water and tea including boiling pot in the room. Very good breakfast rivaling to a 4 star hotel. Owner also encouraged us to make sandwiches and take them with us when we were going to the city. Overall very good value for money.
Only minus is that the location does not have mosquito nets on the windows and i had to hunt one in the night.

Amazing accomodation
Everything was great! Totally recommend the location. The ladies do not know English but we managed to communicate.
A little bit far from the center of Krakow but if you travel by car, it would be more than perfect.

an oasis of perfect hospitality and comfort
We had travelled by train from Berlin to Krakow, arriving mid evening, tired and unable to speak Polish. We rang the Sofia B&B to ask the best way to get there and they sent a taxi for us at their own expense. The house is large and beautiful. Our bedroom was delightful with a very comfortable bed and en suite facilities. Almost next to our room was small kitchen with a fridge, hotplate and kettle, as well as crockery and cutlery. They provided mineral water, tea, coffee and sugar free of charge. We were allowed to bring in food and wine if we wished. Breakfast was a buffet affair, one of the best Continental buffets I have ever seen, with cheese, cold meats, fish, hard boiled eggs, tomatoes, onions, cucumber, fruit, yoghurt, rolls, fresh bread, preserves, juices, tea and coffee. We were invited to make sandwiches for our picnic lunch as well from the buffet and given sandwich bags in which to carry them. Every time we returned to the house we were greeted with tea and cakes. The daughter of the house speaks good English and she was very helpful. I cannot think of a better place to stay. It was simply lovely.

Sitting in a large garden
Sofia Bed and Breakfast is a lovely private home to stay. The place is superclean and the beds comfortable (allthough when you are a tall persoon, the bed can be a bit small). The lady of the house was making us feelings very comfortable with homemade cookies, fresh fruit, sweets and drinks (milk, coffee, tea and lemonade). We had a bbq in the large garden and with the warm weather the garden was a cool place to stay.
By car it is an easy 10 minute ride to the centre of Krakau.
