good beds

Very nice and welcoming host. Good beds in the room we stayed in. We arrived late at night, but they dished up dinner and a big smile.
A big extra plus was the heat on the bathroom floor. Cold and sour outside and the luxury of a hot bath. We would love to come again.

Cafe and Toilets Closed to Cruise Ships

We arrived by bicycle to find the cafe shut and a chain across the premises. There was a very unwelcoming sign up saying closed to cruisers. We tried to use the outside toilets but were waylaid by an angry owner shouting out the 2nd floor window that we couldn't use them. As it is a recommended 3.5km walk from the town of Skjolden with a beautiful view of the Asafossen Waterfall most people arrive looking for refreshment and services. Waste of a great business opportunity. Presumably closed on dates cruise ship in port.

Not friendly at all.

Arrived to this beautiful place and wanted to enjoy lunch with my family but outside they had a big sign saying no service for people from the cruise ship.
The restaurant was open but completely empty why would you not allow people from the cruise ship to enjoy lunch.

Nice place right by the main road in Skjolden

Cozy place this right by a charming waterfall. Nice service and good food, and we appreciate that the service will notify us of some waiting time for the serving when we arrive in the dining room in the middle of the worst rush hour. However, we must point out that the place would have been much more pleasant with gardening service that had given the outdoor area a boost in the form of lawn cuts and cutting of bushes that made the availability of a gymnastic roots. The room we got was also very spartanly decorated, and thus quite unpleasant. An extension of the dining room would also have been a good idea.
