very nice location

i had a vacantion of 2 days in budapest and i didn'd want to spend too much considering that it was a short vacantion so i thought i should search for a hostel on the net.So, I found this hostel and i am glad for the choice i made,the price was to small for the atmosfere and the kindness of the staff..
the location is very close to margriet bridge. and you can easily have acces for the city centre by tram or by metro(i walked to the centre because it's not to far..).if you are for the first time in budapest Brigi will expain the deal with the excange houses, the restaurants, the pubs, and other things that you should know..

Teribble!

When we looking for a hotel we decide it for location. Location is good but not enough. Absulatelly not enough! Honestly while i was coming in i was afraid of the view. Terrible view. And the room was looking same view. Bad smells was coming from the bathroom. After we showed all we found another hostel.

Unwelcoming staff, broken locks

Pros: location and small rooms - you don't need to share them and the price is OK.
Cons: the locks are worn and hard to close. The staff are unhelpful - they do not answer your mails or questions (but expect you to give your EXACT arrival time!!), and they made us wait one hour in extreme heat. After my phone, no one came and I had to call them four times before someone answered the phone!!! Finally a guy arrived, 1h late.
The rooms, kitchen and bathroom are good enough, acceptable, but if something is not ok and you do not speak Hungarian...calling those guys is useless, they do not understand English and they're not willing to help at all.

Location great others bad

Location is great but facility not so clean. but cheap enough
I think it worth to the price
please remember this,
be careful on firstday, they will not be in office

Not for Me

Great Location. The building, particularly the inside is very dilapidated, in places dirty. Reception is essentially a dinning room table with a laptop and an ash tray. If you want to feel like your back at uni sleeping round your mates after a monster party, with smoke everywhere, then this is probably the place for you.
I'm pretty sure the staff are constantly high, or drunk. the shower/bathroom facilities are terrible, one of the shower rooms had no lock (which was very nice when another guest walked in on me).
The Noise from the main ring road and night trams was awful. If you are use to roughing it, sleeping on mates sofas then maybe,just maybe this is the place for you.
