Great place to stay

Great small Hotel in a countryside city. Everything simple just like you would expect from a small Hotel. Good breakfast, I would say that very good. Great coffee and great location. Good price as well.

Hotel well located in the heart of the city, which allows to visit the city on foot (well it's not very big either).
Welcoming.
the access to the rooms above the restaurant is rather arduous (the staircase itself is quite steep).
The rooms are quite spacious on the other hand the small bathroom and no possibility to ask these things.
Free parking at the back of the hotel.
The restaurant is pretty good Price quality ratio.
Decent breakfast but no more.
Have a nice stay.

The hotel had what we wanted!

The hotel is located on the western part of the Liepajas iela pedestrian street. Wooden building with stairs to the 2nd floor. The hotel breakfast was taken in Restaurant Jekaba Seta. We were very pleased with the hotel service! The hotel also arranged taxi transport to the waterfall!

Average

It's a basic place. No AC, no elevators to first floor and no WiFi. The breakfast is relatively ok. First morning it was a la carte. Second morning there was a spread on a table.
There aren't many hotels in Kuldiga, but if you find elsewhere, take it.

Not so great

the past years have brought some changes - the rooms have been refurnished with the ubiquitous IKEA, but a permanent reception has appeared and the receptionist was really super efficient!
The main objections are against sound insulation - in a modern three-star hotel, every step should not be heard through the ceiling and conversations through the walls and, especially, the doors of the rooms. Breakfast also only meets the 3 star minimum.
