Excellent stay at one of Gotlands finests golf resorts

We had a very nice time during our visit. The rooms are clean and nice, the eating is excellent, both dinner and breakfast, and the course is both fun and challenging. There is both a sauna and a nice pool area where one can hang out. The service and staff are excellent and really made our stay enjoyable.
The only negative might be that if you try on the fantastic robes provided free of charge during your stay, you might perhaps not play as much golf as you had initially planned... or you might look a bit silly wearing a robe on the golf course.

Gumbalde GK

The air was still in the room so that towels never dried. Pictures of the accommodation when booking versus reality did not match. The staff was friendly and the pool area was fresh.

Expectations were not met

We stayed with our family in a family room located in a separate smaller building. The room was a disappointment after seeing the hotel’s promotional photos, which seem to show the higher-standard, renovated rooms. Although the room was spacious, it was quite dark and outdated. The bathroom was also old-fashioned and worn, with plastic floor and shower curtain. It would have been helpful if the hotel’s website had included photos of the bathroom as well, so that we could have formed a more realistic impression of the room before booking.
The pool area is new, clean, and pleasant. The hotel’s restaurant and terrace are also inviting and well maintained, but there were a lot of flies in the dining room, which made us wonder if there might be a hygiene issue in the kitchen. Breakfast was good and met expectations, but it was nothing special.
The surrounding golf courses are beautiful, but the small village itself is not particularly picturesque.

Wonderful stay – we will definitely return

A very peaceful and relaxing place, perfect for a quiet getaway. The location is calm and surrounded by beautiful nature, which makes it easy to truly unwind. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated, with a very welcoming atmosphere.
The food was absolutely excellent — fresh, well prepared, and clearly cooked with care. The kitchen was a real highlight of our stay.
Overall, this was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely love to come back again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for tranquility, comfort, and great food.

Private event at Gumbalde

Two excellent days at Gumbalde - we had the resort reserved for a dedicated event for 50 people. Some enjoyed the golf course that was in great condition despite being in early May, some others played padel and did excursions along the coast. We arranged a private dinner and had great food and services. Wonderful view over the 18th hole and the 13th centure Stånga church in the sunset through the panorama windows. The resort is very nicely renovated and in genuine Gotland style. Some also enjoyed the pool, heated and covered allowing an early season bath. We had guests from Singapore, South Africa, Germany, UK, Denmark, Finland and Sweden - I beleive all very satisfied. Thank you Matz and the crew at Gumbalde!
