An accommodation where the environment is unbeatable
Me and my brother stayed at this wonderful mansion for two nights in May, just everything was magical with the breakfast served in the tasteful restaurant. The room was beautiful and the view was fantastic. Highly recommended! An extra plus to the courteous staff. Will certainly visit Tokeryds Herrgård again.

Country old style bad and breakfast.
The old-style building is nice as well as the breakfast. The staff is very supportive but...the rooms are simple and small, the bathroom is a niche with no heating. The temperature inside the room is for brave people as the heating system is really poor. No cleaning, change of towels, and set up of the bad in three days. I'm not sure is common in the area or if it is on demand, with limited presence at the welcome desk it would be difficult to ask for.
I will not return next winter.

A nice place with an unacceptable hotel manager
We had our wedding guests stay overnight at Tokeryd Manor during our wedding in June 2024. The wedding and the party were held in a different place, but since the mansion was close we chose to have our guests staying there. Unfortunately, our experience at Tokeryds Herrgård was anything but what we hoped for, mainly due to the hotel manager's unprofessional and threatening behavior.
It started with the hotel manager adding extra costs to the rooms – a price increase of up to 50% for some rooms, even though we filled the entire hotel with guests for two days. We might have been able to be more thorough and compare prices, but to raise prices so much, especially when the whole hotel was booked, felt unfair. The hotel manager justified it by saying extra staff were needed, but that explanation felt hollow.
A bigger problem arose a month before the wedding, when we were informed that we could no longer use the main building of the manor house for a gathering with the guests on Friday evening, as we were initially promised. Instead we were asked to rent the barn next door for SEK 27,000, without food included. We had initially been promised that we would be able to be in the mansion, but now this expensive change was required at the last minute. When we questioned why we suddenly couldn't be in the mansion, we were told there was "no room." This felt particularly strange because all guests could fit for breakfast there the following day.
Throughout the whole process we noticed that if we did not do exactly as the hotel manager said, there were small "penalties" in the form of changes or extra costs. When we asked if we could use our own speakers in the barn, the answer suddenly became a firm no, which made the whole situation even more difficult. It felt like every wish we had was met with new obstacles and costs.
The most shocking experience, however, was after the wedding. The night after the wedding day, the hotel manager called us, before we could even say hello, and scolded us for something we hadn't done. She accused us of partying in the barn all night, even though we had neither access to the venue nor the alleged party lights and speakers. She threatened us with consequences and then hung up on us. It was an unpleasant and threatening end to an already frustrating experience.
To Things to do worse, several of our guests had noted the hotel manager's unpleasant behavior. One of the more trivial, yet telling details, was that the bottles of San Pellegrino promised by the hotel manager in the rooms turned out to be over a year old and past their sell-by date.
We have subsequently contacted the owner group of Tokeryds Herrgård, but despite promises to follow up, we still have no response.
This is a beautiful place with a lot of potential, but as long as the current hotel manager remains, I would strongly advise against booking major events like weddings here. We don’t want anyone else to experience the same stress and discomfort we experienced.

Hej Peder, Tack för dina ord. Tyvärr kunde jag inte vara på plats under er helg. Men vår personal upplevde att alla hade haft det fantastiskt och att er kväll varit magisk. Gällande att priser skulle ha ändrats är inte korrekt. Vid vårt fösta samtal informerade vi er om att vill man vara i vår lada så är det ett pris för det. Som ni sen inte ville betala för. Saker kan ju såklart ändra sig. Priset för er helg på herrgården var för er 3995:-. Vi önskar er all lycka !

Mansion is better than hotel
A wonderful place to retreat to. Great rooms, good bed and a very nice staff. This is much better than a normal hotel

Charming accommodation
Nice accommodation. Stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms that were tastefully decorated. A plus was that you could have coffee and sparkling water in the room where breakfast was served. The breakfast was also good, there was everything you could wish for, including very good breakfast bread. The staff service-oriented and pleasant.
