Just 200 meters from Sant Sebastià Beach, Sitges Beach Hostal enjoys an excellent location in one of the most charming areas of Sitges.

Sitges Beach Hostal (Hostal Bonanza) is a quiet, affordable, and near the beach.
Sitges Beach Hostal (Hostal Bonanza)
I stayed at Hostal Bonanza Sitges in June 2023. It is located on a quaint triangular street plaza (intersection) just above the stone walkway to the famous beach, Platja des Balmins. That means it is a bit of a slow incline to reach it on foot or to find fine restaurants or even cheap food or for shopping until you get to know the city a bit better. Although the city is built on successive hills, there are plenty of slightly inclined streets and even elevators at strategic locations to make walking thru the town less challenging for tired legs.
Rooms
I was lucky as my room faced the street so there was a small balcony with table and chairs., where I could easily dry wet bathing attire. There were two twin beds on my room, electric plugs near the bed and in the bathroom, and a small closet useful for hanging clothes. There was two small stands for keeping sundries.
Nearby activities
Balmins Beach is a 3-min walk away, although it’s definitely different than most European cities as it’s clothing optional and mostly gay beach, But the other more traditional beaches are not far away. You won’t be gawked or heckled of you go fully clothed on a nude beach. This isn’t the UK or US ethic; it’s Spain.
Safety
Absolutely safe! You are made to feel welcome and secure, but that may stem from who I am, too. Double keys n- one to enter the property day or night, Also, a private room key.on a small key holder. Reception closes on Wednesdays at 4 pm, but the cafe-restaurant normally operates from 8:00 am until 11 : 59 pm at night.
Walkability
No rooms on the ground floor. No elevator. Otherwise, the location on the north end of town is perfectly walkable. In fact, walking is the best way to see most coastal cities in Spain. Take either the steep hill near the Cathedral, or the inclined roads nearer the RER train lines.
Food and drinks
I can mainly speak about the breakfast since it’s always my first, or even, my main meal of the day while traveling in Europe. It was pretty typical, but completely filling and nourishing. Being used to stay in hostels, not Hostals, so I kept waiting to return my dishes for refills and visiting the kitchen downstairs basement ( but forbidden, of course). The regular lunch/brunch menu was typically Spanish. Dinner is either not served or served later at night when often I’m either asleep or out
Noteworthy details
There is always an interesting assortment of staff on duty, depending on the season. Either by design or necessity, the two combined hotels along with its spacious outdoor patio bar cafe need two-three staff on duty at most times of the day. Because there may be fewer adults willing to take these lower paying service job, then they typically employ teenagers snd young adults, particularly those with international experience or foreign language fluency. I had the pleasure of meeting one.

UNSAFE AND TERRIBLE INCIDENT RESOLUTION
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE TERRIBLE SERVICE
We rented the mini apartment on the -1 floor which has ZERO security measures since it can be accessed from the street without difficulty from the terrace.
They broke in to rob us at night by accessing from the terrace, they left the room destroyed, and the worst part was not this, but the subsequent service. There is no reception, but there is a number that we called repeatedly in addition to writing to them, and no one answered. We had to call the police ourselves, and they arrived immediately.
So far they have not given us a solution and no one is informing us about any compensation (many stolen personal items of value in addition to the room TV and more thefts at the floor 0 reception and damage in the -1 maintenance rooms).
The level of lack of protection and misinformation is shameful.
After the relevant report at the police station we got in touch with Airbnb so that they would mediate for us. We are still waiting....18h have already passed and still no one tells us anything. We have had to act ourselves.
I do not recommend this place if you value your safety and your belongings. The lack of assistance has been nil and the empathy invisible.

Ho prenotato tramite Booking basandomi sulle foto della stanza, che sembravano molto belle. Peccato che al nostro arrivo ci siamo ritrovati in una topaia di circa 14 mq, sporca, con il water e la doccia ad appena 40 cm dal letto. A dividere il water dal letto c'era solo un sottile paravento di vetro trasparente e la finestra non era neanche posta vicino al bagno, ma dall'altro lato del letto.
Il supporto della doccia era rotto (non era avvitato), rendendo impossibile lavarsi. Abbiamo avvisato subito il proprietario, ma non si è presentato nessuno, tanto meno lui. I servizi indicati su Booking e le foto presenti sul sito non sono affatto veritieri.
L'unica nota positiva è la vicinanza a piedi alle spiagge (5 minuti), seppur con vista cimitero

Terribile
Ho scelto questa struttura in seguito a fotografie che si sono rivelate mendaci e non veritiere. Nella sostanza la stanza si è rivelata molto piccola, circa 12mq, con bagno interno alla stessa, cieco e senza sistema di ventilazione. Al mio arrivo il bagno si presentava sporco e bisognoso di manutenzione, braccio della doccia rotto. Nonostante le ripetute richieste di intervento, l’assistenza non si è mai palesata rendendo difficoltoso e rischioso l’utilizzo della stessa. Il plus della vicinanza alle tante spiagge del luogo e’ reso nullo dal disagio e senso di “presa in giro” provato. Esperienza disastrosa e, ovviamente, non consigliabile.
