A place to absolutely discover

An address that I highly recommend. The welcome is warm and our host very attentive. The room is comfortable, clean and you feel really good there. Away from the city center, it is a quiet and relaxing place. The breakfast is plentiful and varied. We had the opportunity to meet the occupants of the other room (people from Lyon) with whom we had the pleasure of chatting.

Just for one night stopover

Reception reduced to the strict minimum which does not correspond to that of a guest room, breakfast with industrial pastries quickly prepared at 7:30 a.m. and which can only be taken from 8 a.m., alone in the common kitchen to both rooms, so no contact with the owners, just time to return the key on the doorstep, very poor sound insulation of the rooms, steep access staircase, moldy shower seals… positive points: secure parking, bedding clean and comfortable and quiet neighborhood.

Cold, no discussion

Nothing to say about the room or the breakfast but the coldness of the welcome is remarkable. We are just asked to pay when we arrive, without further discussion. Breakfast is brought in the morning without seeing the hostess. In “guest house” there is the word hosts which the landlord obviously does not know.

If I could leave 0 stars I would

The place is lovely. However the lady in charge called the police on my wife and I and refused to let us leave until they arrived. She doesnt take card payment and would not let us go and get cash out. Craziness.

Good value and quiet

We got a cozy nicely renovated room. Very comfortable and clean. We were at the attic with a separated entrance from the outside. To get to the room, have to go up one exterior story straight stair. There are two rooms in that floor and a kitchenette. Each room have their separate bathroom and shower. It's about 5-10 minutes drive to the centre of Amboise. The hostess was very friendly and nice, but she only speaks French. The breakfast was very generous from cereal, juice, homemade jam, fruit, yogurt, pastries, bread, milk, and tea; considering the price we paid for the room.
It seems that this B&B only takes cash, not credit card. Make sure that you carry cash for payment.
