A jewel in the Medina of Rabat.
Our experience at the Riad Asswar has been fantastic. The location is ideal: very close to the entrance of the Medina, inside enough to live the essence of Rabat, but close enough to an easy access area for taxis and transfers.
The staff deserve special mention. Friendly, attentive and with a hospitality that you no longer see. They welcomed us with tea and pasta, always asked us if we needed anything and until one night, seeing that we went up to the terrace, they invited us back to a warm tea without asking for anything in return.
The room was comfortable, nice and very quiet, perfect to rest.
Breakfast, hearty and traditional Moroccan, prepared with affection and fresh produce. It is very appreciated to start the day like this.
The last day we took care of our bags until the afternoon, totally reliable and without putting any glue.
For those travelling from Spain: Rabat is a safe, comfortable and not overwhelming city, and this riad is the perfect place to enjoy it.

Dar Salam apartment
We booked the Dar Salam apartment always connected to their Riad (also very nice). The guy who works at the reception was super nice and helpful. Next time we will definitely book at the Riad even if the apartment is very large, clean and there are all the amenities

Wonderful Riad
The most beautiful riad in Rabat. The kindness and helpfulness of the staff is something unique. Hassan friendly, kind and attentive to every need. The rooms are beautiful, clean. They clean every day, with towel change. The typical breakfast excellent and plentiful.
It is located in a quiet quiet alley, but in the center of medina so convenient for every walk. Close to the kasbah and possibility to walk to places of historical interest such as Hassan Tower and Mausoleum.
I absolutely recommend it!

Wonderful experience at Riad Asswar
The location of Riad Asswar was perfect. It was close to the train station the tram line and old medina. It was easy to explore the surrounding area by foot.
The Riad was clean with beautiful decor. Zellige tiles and intricate woodwork on ceilings.
Best of all however was the service that was provided by Rashid who talked to us whenever we needed to chat to him about how to get to places, he also recommended places that we might like to see. He gave us his phone number and answered all our questions. We travelled to Casablanca from Rabat one day after speaking to Rashid. So glad we went because we got to see the Hassan 2 Mosque which was perched on the edge of the sea.
Hassan Zachariya and Hussein were also at hand whenever they were at the riad. It was nice to see them each morning at breakfast. Their service was impeccable. It was our pleasure to chat and find out a little about their lives. Hassan also accompanied us to stop the petit taxis whenever we wanted in order to make it hassle free for us.
The ladies at Breakfast made us lovely breakfast each day.
It was the people working at Riad Asswar that made our holiday pleasurable. A big thank you to you all. We will definitely be returning to Riad Asswar.

An unforgettable experience!
Excellent experience in this Riad. It’s pretty, the decor of your room is beautiful, the bed is comfortable and it’s very clean. In addition, it is the best Moroccan breakfast I could eat. Mustafa our host is very professional and attentive. Also his colleagues, Hassan and Rachid. All the staff is welcoming and smiling. Thank you for this unforgettable experience and wishing you good continuity.
