Surrounded by nature, this hostel is located by Søndersø Lake. It has a TV lounge, a shared kitchen and free Wi-Fi internet access. Maribo town centre is within 15 minutes’ walk. All of Hostel Maribo Vandrerhjem’s guest rooms have functional décor and shared bathrooms. Some rooms include bed linen and towels. The large recreational room features table tennis facilities and a variety of games. Guests have free access to washing machines and dryers. Other facilities include a playground and a barbecue area. European Route E47 is 2.5 km from Maribo Vandrerhjem, while Knuthenborg Safari Park is less than 10 minutes’ drive away. Local buses stop right by the hostel, and the ride to central Maribo takes less than 10 minutes. Please note that the reception closes at 18:00. If you expect to arrive after 18:00, you are required to contact the property at least 1 day prior to arrival. Contact details are included in the booking confirmation. Guests can rent bed linen and towels at the hostel or choose to bring their own. Sleeping bags are not permitted at Hostel Maribo Vandrerhjem. Billigt, god service, skønt og hyggeligt.

Vi overnattede en enkel nat, da vi skulle til bryllup i weekenden. Den egentlige check in tid var først kl 16, og siden vi skulle stå klar i kirken kl 14.30 til bryllup, ringede jeg og snakkede med Baldvin. Han var utrolig rar og meget forstående og vi fik lov at få fingrene i nøglerne før tid, så vi kunne nå at skifte tøj og komme af sted uden stress. En ordning med nøglerne i nøgleboks og en kode hertil.
Det gjorde hele forskellen og vi slap for at stresse. Skønt! Værelset hyggeligt og som det nu er på vandrehjem. Toiletter og bad på gangene var pænt rengjorte og generelt gode forhold. :-)
Overnatningen var billig og bestemt god til prisen. Kan anbefales i høj grad.
bonus info: 50 meter fra vandrehjemmet er et hyggeligt areal med lille legeplads og bænk, med udsigt over vandet.

You get what you pay for

It isn't expensive. The rooms aren't special but it's normal for the price. Everything is clean though. I would recommend it to people who stay one night or for schools who stay with many people because there are a lot of rooms.

Good location but too expensive

The Maribo Vandrerhjem is situated right next to the lake and park area in Maribo. It is very quiet in the neighbourhood. The staff is very friendly, offering us a drink after our cycle tour. However, it is, as many hostels in Denmark, way too expensive for what you get. For the money you pay you can just as good (if you are two people) go to a hotel, where you don't have shared bathroom, a larger and better equiped room as well as where you do not have to clean the room in the morning... therefore I would not go to the place again.

Geht gar nicht!!!

Es war nur eine Nacht - zum Glück!
Es gab ein Zimmer mit 2 Stockbetten, ja. Aber niemand war zu sehen oder zu sprechen. Wirklich sauber war auch nichts! Dafür konnten wir auch kein Frühstück nachsuchen!
Deshalb nichts wie weg und auf nimmer Wiedersehen!!
Die Buchung für die Rückfahrt konnten wir zum Glück kostenlos stornieren!
Jedes weitere Wort ist zu viel!!!

Overnatning med god service

Godt sted med simple regler og lækker mad.
Værelset jeg overnattede i var til 4 personer med 2 hængekøjer.
Fine badeværelsesforhold og spisestue.
Det er selvfølgelig røgfrit men der er altan mulighed for enden gangen.
Fik en god service og kan varmt anbefale det.
