Opened in 2023, the Rigel Hotel is a great accommodation choice in Chongqing. The hotel is conveniently located just 11km from Chongqingbei Railway Station and 21km from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport. Being just minutes away from Chaotianmen Metro Station allows guests to explore the city with ease. Keeping busy is easy, with Exploration Deck · Viewing Gallery, Chongqing Three Gorges Cruise and Chongqing Night River Cruise all nearby. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. If you demand a high level of service, our guests have indicated that this hotel has excellent standards. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

The hotel is great, but some things should be improved. The toilet paper inmediately blocks the pipes, but there is no any information regarding it, or asking not to flush it. There is only one toilet paper in the toilet - definitely not enough for several people. There is only one gel in the shower and one minibar of soap by the sink - a very inconvenient solution, we had to constantly move the gel back and forth. There is a loundry room, but it is not self-service [we were told], no information about it anywhere. In theory the guests can access it. But the room card only allows you to get to the reception, the floor above where the gym is [[or more precisely some machines standing [for real] in the corridor] and to the room floor. The laundry is one floor above the gym and it is terrible. It should not be called a laundry, the same goes for the gym. One broken washing machine and one or two dryers, in a microspace without a window,with pipes connected so badly that I have never seen anything like it. We had planned to use the loundry in this hotel assuming that in a hotel of this class this service would be luxurious and ended up going to another hotel to do it. In theory the loundry service can be ordered but only during day hours so sightseeing or ordering laundry. Another thing - so-called butler service is included in the price so we thought that he would be able to arrange simple things like hiring a private driver, typical sightseeing tours. Well, no, we had to arrange everything ourselves. So, what this butler service means I have no idea. Breakfast - basically Chinese, even without black tea, poor choice. The room itself very large and clean, amazing view, very quiet, even with open window. TV huge but no TV signal at all, probably the antenna was connected incorrectly. The location could not be better, fast elevators stopping only on a few selected floors.

Very well located, with nice view. A lot of interesting and modern tools in the room. Only drawback is to enter the hotel you need to cross the hall of a building, which is shared with a lot of other hotels but common in China. On overall good stay.

Excellent location - close to subway and Raffles shopping. Free laundry and drying is a pleasant surpsie. This was handled by hotel staff but unfortunately they don't wash under garments nor socks. Would prefer they just let hotel guests manage their own laundry and drying themselves.

Booked a double room and since its no longer available so they upgraded us into twin room at 49th floor 🙃.
Great sea views overlooking the bridge, the river, tall buildings but it was not the stunning red bridge that we were hopeful of ! This was another bridge with no lights on and it was quite a dull sight at night.
In the day, it may look stunning tho !
