Wonderful vacation!
We have gone to Icona Avalon for many many years and never been disappointed. In fact we marvel at the consistent excellence in all they do. The employees are courteous and helpful. The housekeeping everywhere is exceptionl. It is a wonderful place to enjoy the beach and the towns of Avalon and Stone Harbor. A great vacation place.

Price doesn’t justify the experience
The price didn’t justify the experience. The proximity to the beach, having chairs and umbrellas set up for us at the beach and the pool were the pros. When we checked in, we weren’t given information about the amenities. We didn’t find out until our last day that we could have someone take us around town in a golf cart (something we would have loved to do had we known it was an option). The front desk staff was nice enough but not engaging.
The pool and having the option to order food and drinks poolside was great. The pool was a little smaller than it looks in the pictures. The biggest issue for us was that all rooms are connected to another room via a door. When we asked for a different room, we were told that all rooms except ADA accessible rooms are connecting rooms. This meant that we could hear the people staying in the room next to us through the connecting door. Also, the King room balconies are basically one big balcony shared with everyone else staying on the same floor. Our visit was fine, but we wouldn’t spend the money to come back.

Another Great Stay at Icona Avalon
Just returned from our 7th trip to the Icona. Always a pleasure to stay at this resort. Amanda at the front desk made sure our stay was perfect from start to finish. Wanted to also recognize the wonderful beach staff and service including Taylor, Santi, Jaden, Lucas, Louis, and Nico. They always provide top notch service. Can’t wait to return again next year! Always great to see Randall as well!

Perfect & easy family hotel at the shore
Our family of 5 (kids are ages 10-14) stays at Icona every year, and it's such a great experience. Beach access and pool/hot tub access is SO easy and the kids have a blast going back and forth. The staff is really kind and helpful...especially Pasquale in the cafe who makes every morning awesome with his personality, friendliness and great coffee...he makes every day start out on a positive note. Also, Anthony who drives the shuttle was so awesome and accommodating when we had special requests. Randel the manager was incredibly helpful to work with us and several friends that also stayed. The rooms are clean and spacious and the food/drinks at the beach bar and pub are great - plenty of options for all.
Few cons - The quality of the beach chairs and pool / beach towels are pretty poor for the price of the hotel..and there is very little closet space in the room. But this pales in comparison to all the positives. Overall - HIghly recommend!
