Cosy weekend
My boyfriend and I were gifted a night here as a Christmas present so were unsure what to expect. We were so thrilled with how our weekend turned out. Cool, rainy weather made for the perfect afternoon to make full use of the fire place and spa with a glass of red. Kitchenette in the studio enabled us to bring some food with us and enjoy a platter in our room. The cute, and well stocked, breakfast basket made for a beautifully relaxed and private (and sunny) Sunday morning on our back deck.
Such lovely hosts too, made to feel as if we were staying with family or friends, yet left completely in our own privacy. Enjoyed our stay so very much.

Tired, decaying, dirty, inefficiently run - avoid
This property has seen better days. The fact its Trip advisor recommendations fade away in 2015 tells you something. It is tired, decaying, dirty, inefficiently run and overpriced - avoid.
There is little to commend this place, and I would advise people to look elsewhere.

Definitely Not Luxury Boutique
$1,278 for four nights in a luxury boutique accommodation. Did not expect the very run down and incorrectly described accommodation which we got. We arrived slightly early and were let in to our two bedroom accommodation (gold room) by the very lovely cleaning lady. Jean, the owner was not available at that time which was absolutely fine. Realising that the accommodation was some distance from restaurants etc, we went to get some provisions. Arriving back to Mountain Edge my husband went to see Jean and advise her that the accommodation was not two bedroom as advertised and really was not suitable for two couples, Jean came to our room and told us to put up the screen, not really an option thanks, she then offered to show us the red room which we could have for three nights for a nominal fee of an extra $100 per night, bear in mind we had already paid approx $320 per night for the gold room, we agreed to $200 for two nights. She then promptly said that no we could not have the red room as agreed we could have the blue room, facilities in the blue room were adequate however the fireplace and air conditioning did not work, the shower door did not close properly causing water to spill out into the bathroom, the toilet was constantly running and the front sliding door would not close properly. We only stayed in this room for two nights as the other couple decided that they would no longer stay at the very poor facilities provided by Jean. We advised Jean of the problems in the Blue Room and asked to move back to the Gold Room especially given that the fire in the Blue Room was not working and it was cold, she said she would not charge us for the Blue Room. Despite the notice saying that the rooms would be cleaned and serviced every three days, the Gold Room was not cleaned, Jean's response to this was that as she had provided the Blue Room as well she was not going to have the Gold Room serviced. Overall the facilities were very poor and unclean. This accommodation could more accurately be described as cabins in the mountains. The facilities were not as described, however the location was beautiful. Trying to address concerns with Jean was frustrating as she just fobbed everything off that was trying to be said to her. It was quite obvious that Jean was entering the rooms when were were not there, but certainly not to pick up towels or clean as described by her in another review as to why she enters rooms, yes I left a towel on the floor of day three because it was supposed to be serviced on day three. Advertising shows wifi available, this is not correct. Kitchen facilities were extremely inadequate. Definitely not Luxury Boutique Accommodation. I think the owner needs to up the ante or move on.

Amazing surprise
We decided on a last minute getaway up the mountain. We were welcomed by Jean so helpful and lovely she took us to our room and we were delighted . We had the most gorgeous view of the gold coast and at night was spectacular with all the lights glittering the room was all about comfort a fireplace which was romantic and a spa bath all of the room was open to seeing the view . The silence and stillness was so relaxing it was worth every moment. I recommend this place highly if you wish to do nothing and just enjoy time with your special person in your life .

Amazingly Beautiful, Relaxing and Clean
We stayed in the Gold Suite from Thursday, June 29, to Monday, July 3. Upon booking to arrival was in touch with the lovely owner, Jean. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely place to stay. Large, spacious, clean - just beautiful. So many birds every morning. Saw a koala from our back verandah. Breakfast choices were lovely too. Would highly recommend to anyone who wishes some R & R.
