Simple but nice and clean rooms. Good restaurant, not too expensive and food tasted good. Very nice stay.

Restaurant so bad

The restaurant was just embarrassing! What a bad service! Overpriced food. Had to wait half an hour for food when the kitchen staff had absolutely no control over what they did.

Wonderful surprise for a budget motel.

This honestly is one of the nicest budget motels we've ever stayed in. It doesn't look like anything special and the room was ordinary, though certainly comfortable, but the surroundings are just lovely! If it hadn't been cold and windy, we would have taken advantage of our patio with deck chairs and an umbrella. The building is one story with rooms that exit onto the parking lot, but with sliding glass doors that open onto the patio and an expansive lawn. The cafe/store had quite a few choices for drinks and snacks and a decent buffet breakfast in the morning. There was a park and small lake nearby where my husband was able to fish in the morning before we left, after getting a permit on-line the evening before. No luck catching fish, however.

Very Pleasantly Surprised

Visiting Eksjo for just one night and everything was booked. I came across this and thought "a hotel room at a gas station - nah"....but decided to look and the pictures looked nice, so I went for it. We arrived early afternoon and got key, breakfast tickets and even vouchers for a few dollars to get snacks at the front/check-in counter. I was pleasantly surprised, restaurant was busy with "Dagens" the daily lunch. Parking was very convenient to rooms, our room was clean, beds were comfortable, the bathroom was a decent size and the shower was NICE. Hot water, towels, soap dispenser/shampoo dispenser. We didn't try the TV, and had plans but returning to room in evening we slept great. The included breakfast buffe was a nice surprise too. Motel-ish set up but everything normally on a Swedish breakfast buffe'. (Not like our American Danishes and sugar muffins;) This was cold cuts, cheese, fresh bread and rolls, boiled eggs (medium and hard), kefir, muslix, and variety of other healthy options to start ones day. We would stay here again if passing through this lovely town where I once lived as a child. Go Rasta Eksjo!
