Stay in a wonderful and spectacular palace. Exquisite treatment with special care from Rosa. Unforgettable experience.
A unique experience. One of the best hotels we have stayed in. A true gem.

A memorable stay in a truly beautiful historic building.
The Palacio de la Rambla is an impressive historical building, full of amazing antiques; however, it didn't feel like a stuffy museum where you couldn't touch anything - we were made to feel fully at home by the charming Rosa. We stayed there for only one night (but would have loved to stay for longer). The room we had was large, beautifully furnished, with super-comfortable beds and a large bathroom. There was plenty of hot water, nice amenities, a mini fridge and our room had patio doors which opened out onto a peaceful garden with chairs for us to sit in and read. We also enjoyed relaxing in the public lounge which had a range of sofas, books, and tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast was excellent too. Having seen the family photos around the palace, we asked Rosa about the family and she was kind enough to tell us a little about the history of this lovely place. We used the public (free) car park in Plaza Santa Clara which was only 5 minutes walk away, and the hotel itself is within easy walking distance of all the main attractions in Ubeda. It was a pleasure and a privilege to stay in such a building and I highly recommend it if you are in Ubeda.

Ideal location and fascinating place to stay.
In the centre of the town with easy free access to parking. Very well looked after and excellent breakfast. WiFi a bit temperamental and depends on location of bedroom. However, easy to find location on the ground floor if good signal needed.

A HOTEL OF DISTINCTION
Outside a picture of modern hustle and bustel. Enter the gates and it becomes a picture of tranquillity.
We walked to the hotel after street parking our car as we knew that parking was within the hotel walls and only suitable for a small car. All true. The old stables. Tony quickly had the double doors open and our hired Hyundai I10 was soon manoeuvring around the internal columns. A larger car would magnify the difficulties of the car park size/layout; the underground public parking in the Plaza Andalucia is the nearest alternative.
Getting into the hotel courtyard we found that we had entered another world. The 16th century with mid-20th century styling.
We obviously got our visit arrival right as we were offered our choice of rooms; a lifetime first. Thanks Tony.
Our ground floor room was large as was the bathroom; same with the other room we were showed. Two singles the only downside so the good lady did not have her customary “hot water bottle” next to her. The beds we found firm to our liking. The lighting was subdued.
We soon settled in to using the courtyard and lounge as a retreat from the modern world.
If you want modernity in a hotel this is not the place to rest your head.
Our activity programme in the local sierras and countryside precluded us availing ourselves of breakfast in the palacio other than our last morning. But when we got it, it was lovely. A small cold buffet which suited our needs with hot extras. Too often we find the buffet over done and wonder how the leftovers are disposed of.
We often ran in to Rosa, the manager, and can only say that she was far and away the nicest hotel manager we have ever dealt with. Nothing was too much trouble for her and Tony. It was all rather like a home away from home.
After four nights it was all to soon to be on our way again but our stay reinforced our view that Ubeda is a place to return to rather than once seen never to return.

A gem
A delightful building with its fantastic owner Rosa and all round help Toni. Were treated like long lost friends even though we had only stayed there for one night previously. Superbly situated for seeing the lovely city. We’ll be back if we are in the area again
