Very good option next to the cathedral.
The situation is unbeatable as it is next to the Cathedral in the heart of historic center. The reception girls very friendly and attentive. If you are driving you can leave it in the San Pedro car park which is 5 minutes away and with a very reduced rate. The room is very comfortable and the bathroom is very comfortable. To put a but I prefer shower to bathtub (age stuff). In short, a very good place if you are going to spend a few days in Leon.

Unbeatable situation.
The Hostal Albany Ancha that is next door, has no elevator, stops people with mobility problems.

Very nice and clean room. Comfortable beds. Very close to the cathedral and restaurants. Sound proof windows worked well. Staff was helpful.

A very pleasant room in a reasonably priced hotel. The central location (just 100 yards from the cathedral) made it a very convenient place to stay to view the town.

Decent accommodation in a perfect location.
We stayed in the Deluxe rooms next door, which is called Albany Ancha.
The Albany Ancha apartments are centrally situated near the cathedral and the Plaza Mayor. If required, you can book parking at the Plaza Mayor underground parking garage for 15 Euros per night. Access to the garage is quite easy (although the exit angle needs a bit more care) and I’d describe the parking spaces a little tight. I have an Audi Q5 but we managed ok. The hotel advise in advance of the spaces to use, and they are well signposted.
The company sent full details re the check in procedure etc to me by WhatsApp on the morning of our arrival. Our room, which is a Superior Double on the second floor, is smart with some attractive open brickwork. It has a comfortable bed, nice chair and ample storage and hanging space. The en-suite is perfectly fine with a decent shower. They also provide nice towels and toiletries.
This room also has a narrow, enclosed balcony area that affords nice views of the cathedral and Calle Ancha but, although it has a couple of stools, it is neither practical nor comfortable to sit out for very long.
From a location perspective you couldn’t get any better for exploring the main city sights and enjoying the old town bar and cafe scene. It is worth noting therefore that the shutters to the balcony effectively screen out any excess noise.
Breakfast is available at numerous nearby cafes, and our cafe of choice was the very smart Victoria cafe on Calle Ancha (see separate review).
We were here for three days and enjoyed our stay. We would certainly use Albany Ancha again.
