Great place
Very happy to stay at Hostal Loreto. All the staff on 10, the rooms are spacious and have everything you need, it is clean and the building is beautiful, especially the courtyard, very neat, full of beautiful plants, lights and the sacred heart of Jesus that transmits much peace.
It is in the historic center of Denia, very well located and the restaurant El Secreto de Loreto is a gastronomy wonder, also the staff super nice all

Centrally located but overall poor value for money.
We chose Hostel Loretto on the back of positive reviews but as frequent travellers both on the Costa Blanca and internationally, we have extensive experience with many different standards of hotel. In this hotel, lack of attention to detail, poor value for money, and patchy customer service let it down. I believe this to be an accurate and unbiased review of this hotel.
Positives
Central, vibrant location
Pretty courtyard
Generally well trained staff with some exceptions
Negatives
Poor customer service. I was refused a pillowcase for the additional pillows provided and told to wait till the morning. I needed the pillow that evening. A trip to the linen cupboard should have been standard for any hotel.
Poor in room amenities. The kettle didn't reach the socket. When asked for a kettle with a longer chord, I was told to "get creative and make tea on the floor". In the end I balanced it on the edge of the fridge.
Flimsy paper cups were provided for in room hot drinks not safer and burn proof ceramic cups.
The air conditioning had not been cleaned and smelt musty and mouldy when switched on. We chose to sleep with the windows open to cool the room and avoid inhaling any airborne spores from the A/C. As others have mentioned, having the windows open led to high noise levels, affecting sleep.
Extremely hard, old style cheap sprung mattresses. These need upgrading as they are very uncomfortable, further affecting sleep
No offer of help to haul cases up 4 flights of stairs.
No nighttime security or reception. An issue if you lose your key, have an emergency, or become unwell in the evening.
Poor in room maintenance. Peeling paint, and shoddy, old and marked furniture. No space for suitcases.
Overall, an expensive and uncomfortable room representing poor value compared with others in the area.

Excellent hotel, regularly visited at a great price!!!
We regularly stay at this hotel in Denia and have done for the last 7 years. It is so reasonably priced and fully meets our expectations in every way. The staff are lovely and always so helpful, the rooms are very clean and provide everything you need and the location is in walking distance from the town and the beach. We always look forward to coming back! Many thanks again!!!

Hostal Loreto - Dénia's hidden gem.
We spent one night here and it won't be our last. The location couldn't be more central and we thought it was excellent value for money. In fact, we were surprised to learn that there was 10% off food and drink in it's restaurant El Secreto de Loreto, which had a lovely atmosphere. We had a lovely lunch and buffet breakfast there. Our room overlooked the courtyard, it was spotlessly clean and was very quiet with a comfortable bed.
We found the staff to be so welcoming and helpful, particularly Edina, Peter and Elena - all front of house. The staff in the restaurant were also very friendly.
We will definitely be back.

Great experience at Hostal Loreto
I liked it. Central location, clean and the best of all staff, very attentive and friendly. The food is also very good at a reasonable price.
