Hidden Gem in Busan
I booked this place at the last minute as I was planning to go Haeundae from Jagalchi. To find the place is like hunting for a treasure (not really fun when you're lugging a big suitcase like we did). Dodam is located about 500 meters from Haeundae subway station, right in the middle of the eatery alley, very close to Haeundae beach. It is tucked in between shops but no worries, there's a signage pointing to the guesthouse.
The place itself is a hanok style guesthouse so don't expect to sleep on a bed. We were in a group of 3 and the unit is comfortable enough for a one night stay. Upon arriving, you need to press the doorbell and the host will greet you. The host even gave snacks, mineral water and toothpaste. The unit we stayed in is equipped with a tv, kitchen cabinet, sink and we even cooked in the unit (ask the host for an electric stove). Instead of normal bed, you sleep on a futon.
Host's command of English was quite limited but he was very accommodating.
