Highly recommended

Clean, comfortable and very welcoming. Perfect for an overnight stop or short stay in Graaff Reinet. My family of five thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Clean, beautifully restored close to a very good restaurant and museam

We arrived in Graaff Reinet very excited for our girls trip. The beautifully restored cottages are a must visit and stay over. Tranquil and historical! One down side of our stay at No2 Parsonage Street was the extremely hard beds and cushions were also hard. The kitchen us well equipped for self catering relaxing lounge area, but the outside seating had no cushions for the wrought iron chairs, we did receive cushions after asking as they were not where it was indicated to be stored.

Reasonably priced, comfy, secure and well situated.

We hired #16 for an overnight stop for a family of four and found the unit to be very reasonably priced and perfect for our needs. Two bedrooms with very comfortable beds, pillows and linen.
The wooden floors creak with every step and in some places are not in any way level, but the interiors have been tastefully modernized and it was a great snapshot into the past for our kids.
Units have burglar bars and an alarm for when we were out. Quite a large kitchen although we did not make use of it, a small lounge / dining room and bathroom.
These units are all neatly lined up along the street and look very smart. Albeit that this seems to be either a main road or used for wanna-be F1 racers as the vehicle noise started way early in the morning.
Check in / out was quick, easy and pleasant with safe parking only 50m away from our front door.
Pity that the kitchen had a bodum but there was only instant coffee provided.
This is a great place to stay and very well located, especially to the new Fossil Museum that was unfortunately closed on the public holiday morning when we had put some time aside for this.
We would definitely stay here again.

Hidden Gem in the Karoo

Beautiful spacious cottage with large bathrooms and rooms, amazing service, safe parking for two cars and more parking at reception, pet friendly with a back yard and a clean water bowl.
I would have loved to stay here longer and will definitely be back soon ♥️

Very Disappointed

Heard good things about this place . It came highly recommended but we were very disappointed.
Signage to the reception area was not great
When we found ur , the relief manager on duty took us to our unit right at the end of the road ,no 18.
She did not know how to switch the alarm off nor on.
By fluke I managed to deactivate the alarm . She undertook to phone us later with the code but never did .
The bathroom was smelly with unpleasant odours - really unacceptable
Load shedding did not help matters as it was unbelievably hot on the night we were there , so air cons did obviously not operate during the 3 stints when there was no power
The only redeeming attribute was the size of the units .
