A hotel to escape and fast!
Storytime: We arrive in a hotel in the right location in front of the Folies Bergères, convenient to visit the city being in the 9th of Paris. The reception of the hotel is pitiful, no hello, no good evening, only staff who look at us from head to toe and who do not answer when we speak to them. The stay already starts amazing but my partner and I, we relativize and we think that not everyone knows the hospitality (although yes, I grant you, it's amazing coming from a hotel). We discover our room, it looks comfortable and rather clean, some strange stains on bedding and curtains but nothing very serious. Problems start on the first night, no hot water. No customer service to offer us a way to shower, I ask for a kettle to potentially shower with, I am told that you have to pay extra to get this benefit, I really wonder where I fell. Since hot water is a mandatory service in a hotel, they want to tax me so that I can take a shower?!? But there, is not the craziest, the rest of the stay we had absolutely no hot water, and not even water at all, for a whole evening, the water was cut off. They called in an incompetent plumber who can't even put the walls back after looking at the pipes in the bathrooms and cleaning after he passed (evidence in photo). I was able to chat with other hotel guests that night, they told me absolutely the same thing as me, that it was unacceptable! The ever so mediocre receptionist make no effort and no gesture for the huge inconvenience we may have had during our stay. Not to mention the isolation of the very bad rooms where we hear the maintenance workers in the morning who make a noise not possible in the corridors (and who knock 3 times on the door when we specified "do not disturb" in front of the door and told them behind the door that it was occupied!).
Wanting to offer a beautiful stay in Paris to my partner, I found myself on edge as soon as we returned in the evening to this hotel after a very good day with her.
Ladies and gentlemen, this hotel is to be avoided at all costs!
