Charming stopover out of time
Very nice place where time stands still.
A lot of charm and the kind welcome of Claire is a lot to do with it. Simplicity, human warmth, tasty table and good advice.

Warm welcome
A very warm welcome in a very warm and enlightened place! The new owner Claire (since approx. 3 months) really cares about her guests. Beautiful, clean rooms and the possibility to enjoy an organic meal. Also breakfast was kindly adapted to our intolerances and we much enjoyed the gluten free crackers, lactose free yogurt/ milk, sugar free spreads and many more local and organic products. Only tip of advice would be a mosquito net for windows :)
Thank you Claire for our lovely stay at the lovely place of Bugarach. For other travelers we can highly recommend to park the car at Pic Linas and climb the Bugarach mountain or make a walk to Source Salée (make the shortcut 'la Capelle', or something similar, on the left side of the road just outside of Linas).

B&B in Bugarach, France
We had an excellent experience at Le Presbytère in Bugarach, France. Our room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the family-style dining was a wonderful experience. The food was fresh and local. Lots of good hiking opportunities and sights to see.

Welcome to peace and relaxation
After 7 hours of hiking we were welcomed by Claire with a warm smile. She was both in the kitchen going, receiving guests and explaining the house to us and also her three-year-old son Arthur, who played in the beautiful garden, did not escape her attention. The rooms in this historic building are spacious and tastefully decorated with a certain personal twist. The dinner prepared and served by Claire was delicious and the table conversations that evening were invigorating.

Beautiful place, beautiful rooms.
The rectory is still beautiful, the rooms very comfortable. Welcome by the new property owner Claire and her 3-year-old son.
We chose to dine elsewhere for the different evenings.( The vegetable garden is uncultivated).
Breakfast has changed a lot, we set up the cutlery ourselves... and the choice of foods offered has declined a lot. White bread only, few choices, cereal without particularity, classic cheese.No more candles under coffee or tea, no more excellent cheese, make homemade jams.
Nevertheless, the place and the rooms remain superb even if it is now more noisy in the house. We'll be back soon, it's the start for Claire. Thank you very much.

Merci pour votre retour sincère et détaillé, qui nous est très précieux. En effet, 2024 a marqué nos débuts au Presbytère de Bugarach et certaines habitudes ou prestations ont pu être temporairement différentes de ce que vous aviez connu auparavant.
Depuis, nous avons travaillé avec passion pour retrouver et enrichir la qualité d’accueil qui fait la réputation de notre maison :
Le petit-déjeuner est préparé avec soin : pains variés aux farines anciennes, confitures ou tartinades bio sucrées et salées, fromages locaux et une attention particulière aux régimes spécifiques, sans gluten, sans lactose... Un petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet pour respecter les envies de chaque convive, dans le réfectoire, dans le jardin ou en chambre.
Le potager et le jardin font l'objet de remaniements constants, au rythme des saisons. Nous privilégions les techniques respectueuses du vivant, préférons choisir des arbustes et des plantations qui tolèrent des été de plus en plus chauds et secs, dans cette région.
L’ambiance a été repensée pour préserver le calme et le charme du lieu.
Votre fidélité et vos conseils nous ont beaucoup aidés à progresser. Aujourd’hui, nous sommes fiers de proposer une expérience soignée et reposante, dans un cadre exceptionnel.
