An enjoyable stay 5 stars for comfort and the breakfast

Enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The room was large and comfortable. Sofitel beds are usually great and proved so again. Staff were helpful and organised travel to and from the airport. The breakfast was the highlight. It had a great selection of chinese and english food. Much of it cooked on the spot. The freshly cooked wonton noodles, rice porridge and custard tarts were amongst my favourites. The facilites were excellent although some of the restaurants were closed. English was not widely spoken but never an issue. The only downside was the location. It is next door to a mall with plenty of food options and has a park directly across the road so no issues there. However, it is a long way to the city centre and the ice and snow exhibits. I would stay closer to the city centre next time but apart from that the hotel was excellent.

We totally understand your concern about the distance to downtown and ice-snow scenic spots. Luckily, the hotel is adjacent to a shopping mall with various dining choices and faces a park across the street for relaxing walks. We will keep upgrading our hardware and service standards to deliver a more perfect experience for every guest.

Good experience

overall pleasant experience, very comfortable beds, clean and nice rooms and wide choice of food for breakfast. only thi g to improve os the room service - when ordering food nobody speaks english, we chat ordering does not work due to the phone number error and the western food ordered was of average taste and quality. We could not order desert not even once as were always told chef wen home already :) I would like to give special praise to Kevin from Concierge desk. He was extremely helpful, went extra mile to organize trips for us and also helping us via we chat in a few situations. He speaks english is very attentive and has a very polite behavior, what a gem!

One of our least favourite hotels on our trip

Our family of four stayed here for three nights in January as part of a three week trip to China. It was one of our least favourite hotels. We liked the laundry room, close proximity to Wanda Mall with loads of food options and the helpful staff at reception (thanks especially to Dina who helped me when I was totally over the hot room and organised a fan for me). We had a view of a drab apartment building and our floor was a smoking floor with people often smoking by the lifts. The heating only had one temperature in our room (24 degrees celsius) whereas our kids could easily change the temperature in their adjacent room. Personally we found breakfast average though staff in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. We loved Harbin and everything we saw but we were disappointed in Sofitel Harbin finding it hot, dated and claustrophobic.

Warm service in the cold north

Something outdated but with absolutely great staff, especially Hedy is to be highlighted here. Insanely helpful and prudent.

very good structure

Very good accommodation. The rooms are spacious and clean. We stayed on New Year's Eve 2025. Great breakfast very varied and tasty.
