We really like this inn and will definitely be back! The room and common area were immaculate. We ate in the restaurant and had great food and service.

Just completed a 3-night stay at the Old Village Inn. Thoroughly impressed with the renovations to rooms and the bar and restaurant areas. We had dinner there first night. Our Server, Matt, was so helpful and wonderful; the food was delicious and a higher quality dining experience. You cannot beat the location and they have private parking for their guests. One spot reserved per room. We had three rooms total which allowed for the separate vehicles. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the baths have been updated. Each room is uniquely decorated and spacious. I did not find the outside noise to be bothersome at all. Local music wraps up by 10pm and it’s really very quiet afterwards. I’m headed back in September and staying there again. If I had only one suggestion or thing I might change—and it’s small—it would be to replace shower heads with shower head with magnetic handle you can pull down to rinse. The shower head is installed higher so you lose a little of the water pressure if you are shorter. Again, very small detail, but it would add convenience in shower. It’s perfect otherwise.

Well, it LOOKS great, but...

The renovations to Old Village inn are truly something. The bar and dining room may just be the finest in Ogunquit. But the food and experience here is truly lacking.
The price point here suggests fine dining ($49.00 for salmon) but our server, as nice as she was, seems better suited to a diner or barroom than here. Her table manners were rough and she tossed the plates of food in front of us as though it were franks and beans on a Tuesday night. And then the food---the mushroom appetizer special (stuffed mushrooms) which our server said were a 'can't miss' completely missed. The three disappointingly tasting mushrooms were no bigger than my fingernails for $25.00. The wedge salad, which was grilled, came to the table wet and soggy. Several items on the salad were not listed in the description--this salad was truly terrible. The high-ticket salmon was decent, but the potatoes and vegetables must have been plated hours before the salmon touched the plate as the veg was room temperature at best.
There are much better places to get a good meal in Ogunquit. We had high hopes.

Nicely redone inside with large rooms, comfortable beds. We were able to get our suitcases up the few stairs to the front door and then a long staircase to the 2nd floor with no elevator. I think this should be made clear when booking so people with mobility issues don’t stay there. I’d hate to be on the 3rd floor! Lovely common area and a good dinner!

W r stayed in room 7 with an outside entrance. Big room with another bedroom. Clean. Great bed sleep in. We ate dinner in the restaurant - good service and delicious food. The market a few doors down offers coffee and breakfast sandwiches for the morning. We will stay again.
