Carrie did a great job getting us checked in, even with a problem with the locks on the room we had reserved. She got us into something else and was very good to us. She knows her stuff!
This is the place to stay if you don't want a middle of the road chain hotel. Loads of atmosphere and vibe.

Stayed at this lodge one night. It’s fine. Not dirty but not clean. Hotel room had no soap. I’ve never not had soap or shampoo or anything in a hotel room before. We literally had to go buy soap just so we could wash our hands after using the bathroom. Kinda gross. If they aren’t providing soap, how seriously do they take cleaning?
Nevertheless, it was “acceptable”.
The major problem was a couple of days later. We came back through the area after climbing two 14ers and we just wanted to shower. We decided to stay here again since there isn’t much else around (and we already had our soap from the previous stay). I booked the hotel at 11am and then called to request an earlier check in (as it says to do on their page). No answer. I called for 10 minutes. No answer. Odd, because their page says their lobby is manned and open from 7am to 10pm and to call with any questions.
I went inside to speak to someone and no one was around. I rang the bell, called over and over and even walked around shouting. Meanwhile, the front door had a paper sign saying “no vacancies”. But I just booked a room? How can they have no vacancies?
I called Hotels.com but they can’t refund the room without the hotel’s permission.
So now it is a week later and they still don’t answer the phone, haven’t replied to my email or Hotels.com’s email and I am fighting with AMEX over the $150 charge.
Save your money. Don’t buy your own soap. Stay elsewhere!! This is a glorified and expensive Motel 6.

Excellent stay for the low price.
We had a great stay at this hotel! The location was perfect—easy on and off the highway, with several excellent restaurants close by, many within walking distance. The beds were very comfortable, the continental breakfast had a great selection, and the air conditioning kept the room wonderfully cold, which was especially appreciated. The only downside was that early check-in wasn’t available. If you stay here, don’t miss taking a walk or short drive into the charming historic downtown area, especially along beautiful Clear Creek. We’d definitely stay here again!

I loved that they have two hot tubs, the breakfast was just waffles or oatmeal and ended at 0900. The lady that checked us in was very kind and helpful. This place is older but is a cute spot and right in the middle of downtown Georgetown. The room that Expedia said was available was actually not available. The woman that checked us and made it right and actually gave us two rooms instead of the suite that we had ordered which was still perfect. Thank you!

We have stayed here many times now. The rooms are clean, the staff is helpful, the breakfast has expanded, and the hot tub is perfect.
