Great B&B in Bryson City! High quality family time, poor cell service, we absolutely will return!
A few weeks ago we stayed at Hemlock Inn for the first time and it was a lovely stay! The views are incredible and this bed & breakfast took us back to a simpler time where you can be present with your loved ones. Cozy up next to the fireplace, dive into a good book on a rocking chair, grab a board game to play with your spouse or kids, or just take a little nap while you listen to the rain showers. I highly recommend a stay here if you’d like a weekend retreat in the mountains of Western North Carolina and quality time with family and friends.
Hemlock Inn is conveniently located a short drive from downtown Bryson City and the Cherokee side of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Hemlock Inn is a nice little place in the woods with quaint rooms, limited technology, and good Southern food. I loved that they rang a dinner bell and had a blessing before each meal, served family style. We traveled with our 1 year old and I was glad I packed some of his favorite foods from home to bring with us (we as moms know our little ones can be picky). Hemlock Inn will gladly provide you with ice to keep items cold and some rooms even have a small refrigerator.
The staff here at Hemlock Inn are so attentive and welcoming. Mort and the entire team truly embody Christian hospitality which is a breath of fresh air. We enjoyed everything about our stay at Hemlock Inn and will return!

Ok “Vintage” Experience
Super super nice innkeeper and a very “vintage” experience. The inn is very old and in great need of updates. Great views from office/common area. No TVs and supposedly free internet but it was spotty. Family style breakfast and dinners just ok, met some lovely people. Great winemakers right down the mountain, Deep Creek Vinyards, great winemakers and great views. Would not go back unless they updated but it really was nice experience.

5 Star Experience in Smoky Mountains at this Bryson City Gem!!
The perfect getaway to truly unplug, enjoy nature and each other!!
Hemlock Inn served as our perfect 'home base' for a beautiful getaway for my husband and me along with another couple. They're situated ideally in Bryson City which is a gateway to the Smoky Mountains and easy access to downtown near the Railway (which is a must do - we went both directions!).
We found plenty of opportunities in the area for hiking and enjoying the outdoors - especially relaxing on the Hemlock's deck in rocking chairs - as well as vacation treats like ice cream shops, scenic drives, shopping and music. Save your appetite because the breakfast and dinner meals provided in our stay were outstanding.
While we are planning to make it a Fall tradition, every season is spectacular in the mountains of Western North Carolina. It will be fun to see Bryson City at Christmas for the Polar Express and Spring is magical, too. Can't wait to find another moment to breathe in the good life and enjoy this beautiful creation at the Hemlock!

Loved Hemlock Inn!
Beautiful location with rocking chairs in the perfect spot! Great people that really care! Comfy, welcoming, and relaxing! Fun for the whole family with hiking on the property and river tubing nearby! Loved the community dining and round tables.

A great stay that yielded true rest!
Having this Inn recommended to us by two separate parties we booked our stay. This is not the "run of the mill" hotel, but an older, established Inn set in the mountains in a rustic setting.
Imagine having a real key to open your door! Our room was super clean affording a great night's rest each night of our stay. This facility offers fresh air, great "home style" meals served for all at the same time each day with seating around round tables with a "Lazy Susan" method of dispensing the food, along with dedicated serving staff members so you don't have to leave your seat until the dining is done. This style of dining allows all guests, many that have been going there for years, to become acquainted and fellowship together.
This peaceful setting has a Christian based atmosphere that is family friendly for those of faith and for those desiring such a path. After this season the Inn will be managed by new partners the have indicated they plan to carry on the same tradition with possible expansions ~ and we certainly plan to be back!
