This is a really lovely place! Some historic hotels/B&Bs are just historic and have seen better days. Not this place! We were only there for one night while on a road trip, but we would have enjoyed staying a few days longer. The manager greeted us warmly and made sure we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house and grounds are beautiful. Our room was beautifully decorated and spotless, plus the bed was super comfy. After a long travel day we were happy to grab a pizza from a local restaurant and just sit in the Adirondack chairs on the lawn - while enjoying a glass of wine and the sunset. The made-to-order breakfast was excellent as well and we could enjoy it on the outdoor patio. We’d definitely stay here again.

Innkeeper is wonderful and Inn is charming

We arrived early and since the room wasn't yet ready, the very friendly innkeeper had us leave our luggage in the parlor (common room) and she'd move to our room for us. Off we went to explore the FDR home and library (15 minutes away and a must-see). When we returned our luggage was carefully arranged in the Wellington room. Great room, king bed and spacious bathroom. Next morning our included breakfast is cooked to order-many items to choose from. Our innkeeper's friendly and calm dog "Roy" sat with us. All in all, a quiet and terrific place to stay.
