Prime Waterfront Stay With Room for Improvement

Waterfront setting with harbor views. Walking distance to ferries, restaurants, and shops. Good breakfast buffet. Comfortable beds. Front desk staff warm and helpful. Room felt dated and tired. A refurbishment would make a difference. Not quite clean. Hallway carpets needed vacuuming. The broken soap dispenser showed poor maintenance. Better housekeeping would improve the overall experience. Preferred my stay at Thon Hotel Nordlys (better breakfast, better room, but more expensive).

Great location, nice view, fantastic breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, good value.
My only complaint was the pillows were skimpy in size and number. I never asked for anything different so it may be that all I needed was to ask.

Enjoyed our stay at Scandic Havet, paid for room with a view and it was certainly worth it. Happily returned some day.

Fantastic hotel with the greatest view

This is the first time we stay here and it is really a cosy and nice hotel with the sweetest staff. Here is plenty of opportunity for tranquility and relaxation. We are lucky to have got a room with the most beautiful and really a unique view. We highly recommend the hotel, and if there is a problem, the staff is welcoming and always ready to find a solution. This is the hotel we more than want to come back to.
