Outstanding customer service
While making a reservation on the app, the system crashed. So after trying again when we arrived at the hotel using our points, we were accidentally booked twice. The front desk manager, Manisha, was so incredibly helpful. Her excellent character and bright attitude turned a bad experience into a good one. As it took almost 30 minutes to get it all worked out dealing with customer service over the phone. She was so pleasant and just an outstanding example of how a hotel should be run.

I almost gave this hotel 5 stars, but there were a few minor issues. The room smelled kind of musty when I walked in. It wasn't unclean, but it definitely didn't smell great. It needed to be refreshed before I checked in. This is not the fault of the staff, but the barriers between rooms are way too thin. The noise above me was pretty terrible when I stayed. Otherwise, the room was very spacious and cleaner than average. Everything worked well. The pool looked incredible, but I didn't use it. There's a nice waterfall by it. The breakfast looked good, too, although I didn't eat in the morning. Staff at the front desk was very nice.

A great overnight stop
We were very happy with our stay at this hotel. It was clean, the room was very well lit as was the hallway. Good air conditioning - easy to change the temp. Water pressure fine. Noise level was low, and blackout curtains and comfortable bed made for an excellent night's rest. The hotel's exterior was enhanced by lots of blooming plants- unusual at a chain hotel. We wish we could count on this quality of accommodation everywhere we go.

Clean, spacious rooms, and excellent water pressure in the shower. Thermostat didn't hold temp as tight as I'd like and the breakfast was discount hotel bland, but hard to beat for the price.

horrible customer service!
This place is horrible with customer service. My friend and I booked a double queen suite. We were there for our oldest daughters ETBU basketball tournament. We brought our daughters back to the room in between games to let them relax and have some pool time. We were denied access to the pool because they were not staying guests. They are our minor children!!! Their policy states minor children stay for free, and we paid well over $100 a night. The front desk staff was rude, and her manager never bothered to come address our concerns and questions. Front desk then sited that the pool was closed due to weather and it was sunny outside!! Other parents stayed at La Quinta and we all took our kids to swim there even if we werent paying guests, the staff agreed to let our kiddos swim for an hour and even gave us enough towels. I would never go back to this location. I would urge guests to spend their money elsewhere. The management and staff here are rude and dont care about treating their customers well!

Thank you for taking time to review Comfort Suites Marshall on multiple platforms. I appreciate the detailed description of the issue, as well as the opportunity to address it directly since I was out of the office during your stay.
The reservation was booked via Priceline as a room for 2 adults no children, upon check in the FD agent confirmed the occupancy verbally, which you acknowledged by signature at registration. Minors are always welcomed with their parents and those under 18 stay free. However, the number of guests must be disclosed at the time of check-in regardless of their respective ages. Due to occupancy limits per room, we are required to adhere to the maximum capacity limits posted by the local Fire Marshal. The phone call you received from the FD desk agent was to advise you that a surplus of 9 people would constitute a violation of our occupancy limit for your specific room. Any minors in your party were welcomed as long as the occupancy limit was not exceeded.
During that phone call, (thankfully everything is recorded for safety and quality assurance) you mentioned that your daughter's teammates were joining your party to swim in the pool. Bri eloquently reminded you that hotel amenities, including the pool, are for registered guests only. No outside visitors are allowed at the pool. This policy was stated verbally at check-in, on the registration card, there is also a sign at the front desk, and a sign out at the pool stating the registered guests only policy. If it was overlooked, I will be happy to email you a copy of the policy.
As for the pool being closed, on the day of your stay Marshall was under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning. Needless to say, that for the safety and security of all our guests the pool will be closed at any time we are under a weather warning by the National Weather Service.
Unfortunately, I was out of the office, keeping communication via telephone with the staff. I would have thoroughly enjoyed meeting with you to clarify the hotel policies that were being violated and their respective penalties.
I am happy that you found satisfactory accommodations at la Quinta and we wish you a wonderful year with your ETBU student.
